The Green Party of Minnesota's 2008 convention will be in Mankato on June 7th and 8th.
At the convention we'll be endorsing candidates for Senate, choosing delegates to the national convention and making changes to our party's platform. Read on for more information!
What?
There are three big things happening at the biennial meeting:
Endorsement of a senate candidate. For information about the announced candidates, see our 2008 candidates page.
Selection of delegates to the national convention. Delegates will be selected based on votes received by presidential candidates. If you haven't cast your ballot yet, download a presidential preference ballot and mail it to the state office by May 22nd. Alternatively, you may come to the convention and vote there. For more information on the presidential candidates, see the candidates page.
Adoption of resolutions and changes to the party platform, bylaws and constitution. You can view the proposed changes here.
Also, there will be many other small events going on during the convention and in the evenings.
