Voting Information
The next statewide election will take place in 2008. You may vote if you are a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old and have lived in Minnesota for at least 20 days.
Find your polling place at the Secretary of State website or call the SOS toll free, at (877) 600-8683. You may only vote at the polling place near your home. Most open by 7:00 AM, and all close at 8:00 PM.
State law allows you to take time off from work without loss of salary or wages to vote during the morning of state elections.
If you haven't pre-registered to vote, no problem! Just bring a government-issued ID with your current address. If your address is different than shown on the ID, also bring a utility bill with your current name and address or someone who is registered in the precinct where you live who will vouch for your residence. For details, see the Minnesota Secretary of State's website or call them at (877) 600-8683.
